Ingredients:

pickled mushrooms - 1 can (I have 350 ml)

ham - 200 g

chicken egg - 4 pcs.

potatoes - 2-3 medium sized tubers

carrots - 2 pcs. medium size

purple lettuce - 1 onion

mayonnaise - 150-200 ml

salt - 0.5 tsp.

How to make a salad with mushrooms and ham:

Some of the ingredients of the salad must first be boiled.

Boil the eggs until they are "hard boiled". Remember that after boiling, they should not be boiled for more than 10 minutes, otherwise the yolks will turn gray. Cool the eggs by pouring cold water, remove the shell and grate in a coarse grater.

Boil potatoes and carrots "in their uniforms" (that is, without peeling them off) in a saucepan on the stove or in a slow cooker. In order for the vegetables to be easily peeled in the future, they must be placed in cold water immediately after cooking and allowed to cool in it. Remove the skin and grate with a coarse grater.

Cut the ham into small cubes with a sharp knife, literally 0.5x0.5x0.5 centimeters. It goes well with pickled mushrooms and adds satiety to the salad, enriching it with a bright taste.

We will form the salad in layers, putting them in a deep container. For this purpose, a salad bowl is suitable, a saucepan of a small diameter, I used a ladle.

Cover the container with cling film or a plastic bag (it must first be cut at two seams to make a large piece of polyethylene in one layer).

There are two options for forming a salad: either grease each layer with mayonnaise, or first combine each ingredient with mayonnaise in a separate plate, mix, and then put in a container.

Put the ham in the first layer.

Next, add an egg layer, adding a pinch of salt. Place on the ham and flatten.

The next layer is carrot. It can also be salted if desired.

The last layer is potatoes. Tamp and level it with a silicone spatula.

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours. The salad will be well saturated and the layers will "grab". Then turn the container over onto a large serving platter and remove the cling film.

It remains to supplement the salad with its main ingredient - pickled mushrooms. Open the jar and place the mushrooms in a colander or strainer. Allow the brine to drain completely. But I strongly advise against rinsing pickled mushrooms. Chop chopped purple onions on top of the salad, and put mushrooms on top of it. Decorate with greens on your own - it can be fresh herbs parsley, celery, or dill sprigs.
