Today we will prepare puffs from ready-made puff pastry. Not simple, but stuffed, which, this time, we will make from chicken. I jokingly call these pastries: delicious quick puffs for the lazy! 😉 After all, this is the simplest solution - to bake the store dough with filling. You need to buy puff pastry, but with or without yeast, it doesn't really matter.

Ingredients:

5 pieces. chicken drumstick;

900 gr of dough;

vegetable oil.

Let's leave the dough to defrost, and in the meantime we'll start filling.

We wash and cook the drumstick. You can take a fillet, but it will be drier (for it it is better to add a little onion).

We cut the finished drumstick: separate from the bone, chop and fry in a small amount of oil. Do not forget to add salt.

How to make puffs

Roll out the dough slightly. We put the meat in small squares on half the surface of the rolled dough.

Cover the meat part with the untouched half.

Cut into small squares, forming the meat in the center.

Press the edges with a fork. It is possible around the entire perimeter, only corners are possible. In the center of the product we make cuts diagonally or in a checkerboard pattern. How all these options look can be clearly seen through one photo below.

Beat the egg, add a little salt. The dough is unleavened, so you need to give it a light salty taste. We lubricate each square, trying to fill in each cavity. The more carefully the puffs are lubricated, the more beautiful the final color will be.

For cooking you will need:

500 grams of puff pastry;
... 300 grams of chicken fillet;
... 200 grams of cheese;
... one large chicken egg.

1. Boil the chicken fillet in advance, then chill it. Then chop the meat into cubes.

2. Take the cheese. Chop it into thin slices.

3. Then take the finished puff pastry, roll it out into a thin layer (the thinner the layer, the better the baked goods will be).

4. Then cut it into small rectangles (they should be the same size).

5. Place cheese and fillet slices in the center of each.

6. Then join the edges of the products, while carefully sizzling them. Spread the egg yolk on top.

7. Then place the resulting puff pastry chicken puffs on a baking sheet. Bake in an oven preheated to two hundred degrees. Cook the puff pastry chicken puffs until golden brown. Then serve them to the table.

Products with mushrooms

To make chicken puffs, you will need:

500 grams of ready-made puff pastry;
... 200 grams of mushrooms;
... two chicken fillets;
... 50 grams of cheese;

1. First rinse the chicken fillet with water, then dry, cut into small cubes.

2. Then add salt to the meat, sprinkle with seasonings on top, then stir.

4. Clean onion, then chop into small cubes.

5. Rinse the mushrooms under water, dry them and cut into slices.

8. Then stir with chicken. Then put the filling to cool. Sprinkle cheese on top, then fasten the products. Chicken puffs are baked for about thirty minutes. Then serve them warm.

This stuffed pastry will appeal not only to those who love chicken, but also to those who love cheese. This recipe uses two flavors. For cooking you will need:

One pack of puff yeast dough;
... 30 grams sausage smoked cheese;
... one bunch of greens;
... thirty grams hard cheese;
. a raw egg;
... a tablespoon of sesame seeds;
... one smoked chicken.

Cooking process

1. Initially grate the cheese. Then mix it with herbs (chopped).

2. After the chicken, cut into small cubes.

3. Take the dough, cut into squares.

4. Place the chicken and cheese filling on each of them.

5. Then fold each square into a triangle. All edges should be carefully pinched, it is necessary so that the cheese does not flow out of the puffs.

Today I made a pie from my favorite puff pastry with this wonderful filling. I added toasted onions and some fresh herbs.

Ingredients

To make a 20 * 25 cm chicken pie you will need:

  • 450-500 grams (1 package) unleavened (unleavened) puff pastry
  • 2 medium chicken fillets
  • 1 medium onion
  • 100 grams of hard cheese
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • 1 egg for brushing

Preparation

    Defrost the puff pastry, divide it in half. Roll one part into a layer 1.5-2 mm thick.

    Place a sheet of parchment on a baking sheet and place the rolled dough on it.
    Now prepare the minced pie filling. Cut the chicken fillet into approximately 1 cm pieces.
    Season the meat with salt and pepper.

    Then, peel the onion and cut it into thin quarter rings.
    Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
