Why do we love the holidays? Probably because it is pleasant to prepare for them: to think about gifts, to set the table. But there are special, bright celebrations in our life, such as Easter. On Easter, people give each other small Easter gifts: painted eggs, cakes, baskets, Easter souvenirs. Children love to cook crafts for Easter with their own hands, it is so interesting for them to take part in the preparation and work. We have selected the most interesting master classes for children and adults from a variety of crafts.

We offer Easter crafts from the simplest materials, the purchase of which does not hit the budget, they are always available in any ordinary store.

Such an interesting basket for eggs can be easily made from a disposable plate, wooden clothespins and scotch tape.

We cut a disposable plate with scissors:

We glue the sides and glue them on top with paper or tape them together. We separate the clothespins, glue them with glue. Moment. We fix it on top with a thin braid.

Cut strips of paper to the bottom, make a handle out of cardboard. Decorate with a bow or several.

We print a bunny template or draw on a sheet of cardboard or thick paper. We paint on both sides, glue and put a beautiful Easter egg in its paws.

We make chickens from disposable spoons, cotton pads, colored paper.

You can make the same funny bunnies:

More Easter crafts: unusual egg plates. How beautiful multi-colored eggs will look on such an original plate! We cut out 4 legs and a bunny's head from white paper, make out the muzzle. We put clothespins on a plate, glue paper paws to them. Put chopped white paper on the bottom of the plate.

We make a plate with chicken in the same way. Difference: yellow paper and the size of the paws.

DIY gifts for Easter

There are a lot of ideas for gifts for Easter, you get tired of choosing. I would like to hope that our master classes will help you in your choice.

From paper

An Easter basket for the upcoming holiday can be made from a regular paper bag. Or beautiful wrapping paper, maybe you still have candy boxes. There are many options. In such an interesting basket, colorful Easter eggs or delicious delicacies will look original.

For work you will need:

  1. Paper.
  2. Scissors.
  3. Ruler.
  4. A hot air gun or regular paper glue.
  5. Pencil.

If you took a package for work, then you need to cut off the bottom of it. We cut the side. With a ruler and pencil, line the paper into strips 3 cm wide.

We bend all the strips in half along the entire length.

We begin to weave a basket from strips, as in the photo.

So that the details do not get confused, we glue the strips to the top of the basket, then we will cut it all off. We glue the handle and glue the top of the basket.

We will sculpt an interesting chicken stand for Easter eggs, as a gift. There are several recipes for making dough.

Recipe for wheat flour dough:

  1. Flour - 2 cups.
  2. Exra salt - 1 glass.
  3. Cold water - 250 grams.
  4. Storage bag.
  5. 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sunflower oil.

Recipe for rye flour products:

  1. 3 cups (300 g) wheat flour.
  2. 1 cup (100 g) rye flour
  3. 2 cups (400 g) fine salt
  4. 250 ml of water.

Rye flour gives the figurines a warm color to the bread. To prepare any dough, mix the flour and salt, then pour in gradually cold water and mix again. The degree of readiness of the dough can be determined as follows: if the dough stretches and sticks to your hands, then there is a lot of water in it. Therefore, you need to add more flour.

For work you will need:

  1. The dough is salty.
  2. Stack.
  3. Peeler.
  4. Toothpick.
  5. Manicure file.
  6. Black peppercorns.
  7. Paints, brush.
  8. The varnish is transparent.
  9. Garlic press.

Roll out a cake 0.5-0.7 cm thick, this will be the chicken's nest itself. We make the sides of the nest with a garlic press. We make a "straw", wetting it with water.

We leave the work for 1 day to dry, so that the dough will keep its shape well in the future. We start sculpting the chicken. We sculpt the blank of the body. We need the chicken as a stand for the egg, which means we must make a depression for the Easter egg. We take a round shape, make a notch, sculpt the chicken breast and neck. With a vegetable peeler we make plumage on the breast.

We insert a toothpick into the chicken's neck, leave 1.5 cm.Connect the nest and the chicken's body. We roll out the dough, make blanks for wings 1 cm thick. Draw the plumage with a vegetable peeler, attach it to the body of the chicken, moistening it with water.

Next, our task is to make the chicken a beautiful tail. We take an oval cake with a thickness of 0.7-1 cm as a basis. We make the plumage with a vegetable cutter. Cut off the edges of the tail with a knife to resemble a feather pattern. We make the cuts neat, smoothing them with your fingers. Attach the tail to the body of the chicken. Tuck something under your tail, such as a ball or an apple. After the product dries up, remove the apple.

Roll up a round head ball. We decorate the scallop, with fingers and a stack, giving it the desired look.

To make the eyes, you need to outline their place. We make a stack of dents for the eyes. Next, we make dents with a vegetable peeler so that the eye becomes curly.

Insert a pea of pepper instead of the pupil. We make a beak and sculpt it to the head.

We fasten the head and torso, putting the head on a toothpick. We attach a small strip of dough to stabilize the head. Decorate the chicken neck with dough feathers. You can make a chicken "earrings" from pieces of dough.

We sculpt chickens in the same way. Do not forget to wet the parts for better fastening.

We leave the product to dry for 1-2 days, putting them in a distant place, you can even on the closet. In a day or two, when the chickens and chicken harden, we finally complete the work: we plant the figures on leaves, moistening the middle with water. Leave in the air for 1-2 days. We dry the products first in the air, and then put them in the oven with a temperature of 50 degrees for 1 hour. After drying, paint with paints and cover with colorless varnish.

Another option: figurines from dough: we sculpt Easter bunnies, chickens, chickens. You can make fridge magnets out of them, or you can hang them on pussy willow branches.

The fastest gift option is colored paper napkins and ribbons. We twist the boiled egg into a napkin and tie it with a ribbon. Can be replaced with corrugated paper.

You can crochet such a funny interesting Easter chicken.

For work you will need:

Hello, dear readers! :) And how do you like this idea of a festive Easter decor in the form of flat painted eggs made of salted dough? :) on them we can definitely practice our creativity :) From such blanks you can very nicely complement the festive decoration of the room :) And the small subtleties of making improved salted dough and sculpting eggs and a very beautiful stand for eggs in the form of an Easter chicken you can study below.

This master class was kindly shared by the artisan Amy Christie.

It is snowing here in Latvia, everything is white, but I really want bright colors! at least in our works we can fill this gap :))

and will help us in creating such original blanks - salted dough.

if you live in a private house, can you imagine how beautiful a tree decorated with such colorful eggs will look? :) But you can bring a large branch into the house, put it in a floor vase and decorate with such colorful crafts that you can do with yours children :) every year as the tree grows, you will replenish it with new creative masterpieces of the whole family :) You can even sign personalized eggs, glue fragments of napkins on them and even cover them with gold leaf. it's a matter of your taste :) but you can sculpt flowers, silhouettes of animals, or anything on top of these flat blanks! An excellent springboard for a flight of fantasy :))

It's time to start studying the master class:

you will need:

Salty dough
- rolling pin
- ruler for measuring the thickness of the dough
- spatula, knife
- a cocktail straw that we use to make holes
- parchment, or baking paper
- acrylic paints
- paint pen, optional
- transparent sealant
- twine or ribbons

First, prepare the salted dough:

This standard recipe we'll improve a little:

For high-quality kneading plastic dough salt should be very small - for example "Extra", and flour sifted .. Mix thoroughly these two ingredients together and add to them 2 tablespoons of wallpaper glue, and if you want to sculpt fine details, then first add to the water 2 tablespoons of starch(preferably corn) and boil to a paste state, and if you want larger parts, then add to the stirred mixture of salt, flour and wallpaper glue water and knead the dough thoroughly. In the process of mixing, add a little vegetable oil, but not more than 2 tablespoons.. Oil can be changed baby cream or baby oil, lubricating your hands while kneading. If the dough starts to crumble, add a little water. Indicator correct test is such an analysis - in the rolled ball we make several indentations with our finger, if they retain their shape, then the dough is ready! Let me remind you that you can do this master class with your children. To make the dough smell delicious, add a little vanilla :)

It is necessary to store such a dough in the refrigerator and before rolling out the dough, keep it in the refrigerator for a while so that it rested and acquired a homogeneous plastic mass. Let's start rolling the dough on parchment paper!

On the rolled dough with a round mold or glass, squeeze the circles out. Remove the excess dough, and begin to squeeze out the hole with straws, while slightly pulling the shape in this place. The dough is stretched to form an egg.

Bake at 250F for 2 hours.

dried workpieces can be spray-painted, or painted on with acrylic, initially covered with acrylic primer.

When the background is dry, it's time to start painting in color.

We make a string or ribbon into the hole and tie a knot to make a loop for hanging.

It remains to hang them on a branch, or you can hang them in the form of a garland. Bows will be a very beautiful delicate addition.

based on materials from the site-already! designmom.com

As an idea for decorating such eggs, you can borrow from the pastry chefs :) Look at how delicately and festively decorated the cookies. Why not an idea for a salty dough? :))

and finally, the promised photo master class on sculpting an original egg holder in the form of an Easter chicken.

You can see the entire series of Easter egg decor I have collected in my diary under the heading DECOUPAGE - Easter decoupage and decor.

Successful creativity to you and original ideas for embodiment!

Our preparation with my sons continues and this time we decided to do molded from salt dough... And what we put on you will find out right now ...
Materials:

  • Salted dough (recipe)
  • Toothpicks and spatulas
  • Gouache paints
  • Brush
  • PVA glue

Easter bunny and chicken souvenirs:

Let's start with the chicken, roll out the ball, flatten and shape the egg, glue the legs, beak and scallop. Be sure to coat all parts with glue. Insert the spatula and leave to dry.

With the bunny, we did not trick anything, we used a cookie mold and inserted a spatula.

We dry the figures and paint.
Egg stand:

We sculpt two details: we make the first with a recess for an egg, and the second we make with cuts that resemble leaves.

We glue the parts, dry and paint.
Another stand:

We take a jar, we had it from rastishka. Cover with dough, make small cuts, cover the upper part with balls of dough.

Put foam in the middle.

Roll out the dough and cut out a rectangle, the curly edges are made using a device for pasties. Glue the rectangle onto the jar.

And it will complement and decorate the jar with a flower with petals and balls. We leave the stand to dry.

Next, we paint the stand, after the paint dries on top, we form something like a nest of threads. Well, that's all, the egg holder is ready.
Hen

With a chicken, everything is very simple. We roll the torso together with the head. We sculpt and glue the scallop, beak and wings separately. We dry and paint the product.

Topiary with salt dough elements:

For manufacturing, we needed additional materials: a plastic ball, a disposable glass (beer), threads, artificial greenery and flowers, beads, a glue gun.
While my son was sculpting parts for a bunny and an egg from salted dough, I proceeded to the tree itself.

We take several spats, wrap with threads or paste over with corrugated paper. Pour gypsum diluted with water into a beer glass and insert spatulas and herbs. Let the plaster harden, then coat with glue and sprinkle with beads. And we wrap the glass with threads.
