I had a strong friendship with Rimma. But at first he built a romantic relationship with her friend Alena. The girl was from a prosperous, fairly wealthy family. Her mother was against our romance. Once she told me that I was not a couple for Alena (at that time I worked as a cook in a cafe).

Then the relationship with Rimma began to change?

We have always had a warm relationship with Rimma, so our romance somehow flared up by itself. We ourselves did not understand. At that time I was 21 years old, Rimma - 18 years old. She was still studying at the measuring technical school. Rimma and I spent the first meeting in Nikolaev. I took her to the place where I served in the army.

How did you propose marriage?

One day I came to her house. The conversation was in the presence of dad and mom, but mom spoke more. I had a very good relationship with my mother-in-law. After a short discussion of practical issues, the decision on the wedding was supported. Two families with no money. Rimma and I had nothing but feelings and hope.


And how did you prepare for the wedding?

Our wedding with Rimma was in the style of that time. June 1, 1985 In Odessa, there are exclusively pickled zucchini in stores. Andropov, the then General Secretary, it was on June 1 that he began the fight against alcoholism. You couldn't drink, produce or sell.

Alcohol, simply vodka, was quietly poured into glass milk bottles. Can you imagine? I was engaged in the preparation - I was both the groom and the organizer, I myself earned money for the banquet. Wedding dresses were no better.

How did you find money and clothes?

I bought a suit and a shirt in Moldova, went there by train - I was told by knowledgeable people. He brought things for sale and earned money. But the story of shoes deserves a separate story.

In Odessa at that time the Armenians were the shoe-makers. In one of the stores, I was offered to buy imported shoes outside the store…. I was taken out of the room, shown a box, offered to try it on.

Boots were with small heels, narrow-nosed - then they wore that. They apparently struck me as cute. In general, I bought it… And I decided to add additional lining - another centimeter or one and a half more.

After all these manipulations, I wanted to flaunt my shoes ahead of time - I shod for my friend's birthday. His mother was an advanced lady, she worked in a film studio. At the celebration, she said: "This is a fake from Privoz!" The boots did not live up to the wedding, so I had to buy others.

What dress did Rimma wear?

We bought a wedding dress for Rimma according to an ad and sold it two weeks after the wedding. Look at the photo. Veil with a wreath, dress is not lush, classic.


When was your daughter born?

At the moment when Julia was born, I just returned from Chernobyl. It was in Chernobyl that I learned that Rimma was pregnant. I still have the document of the liquidator of the accident ... However, I got to Chernobyl not of my own free will, but that's another story.

Rimma turned out to be a very good mother, attentive, neat. She has always been an example of consistency, unlike me.

Where did you live after the baby was born?

My grandmother gave me a two-room apartment on Malinovsky Street. The renovation took almost a year. Wallpaper and plumbing were brought from Moscow. I then worked from 7 am to 9 pm. I remember to get enough sleep before work - I slept in the kitchen on the floor. Hiding from the crying of children.

Did Rimma help you at the start of your business?

We were looking in the same direction. It was easy to start because there was a total zero. Rimma supported and helped me, of course.


Why did you break up?

We lived together for so long that over time I decided to live separately. We became business partners. Rimma was engaged in operating systems, and I was in business development.

There is always a conflict between these links. He also influenced the change in the status of our relations. We parted quietly, maintaining respect for each other.

How often do you (mom, dad and Julia) get together?

After studying in London, Yulia lives with her husband far away in Tokyo and works in the Japanese office of World Gaming. You understand that we rarely see our daughter…. Last summer my daughter came to visit us with a Japanese family - it was a very good time.

I liked her immediately. For a long time I did not dare to take her phone. But she got ahead of me. “Savva, if you want to take my phone, you don’t have to invent something - here’s my number for you,” she said. It hooked me. She was then 25 years old, and I was 40 with a ponytail.

I called Leela about 15 minutes after leaving the store. We arranged to meet. And that's how it all began. Soon they began to live together. Later he offered to go to Spain together. She agreed.

But the trip had to be postponed - he ended up in the hospital. Nothing serious, but Lily was next to me for a whole week. After discharge, I organized a new trip, and we went to hot Spain.

It was a great ride and the best relationship. Crazy, informal ... 10 bright days. We drove a couple of thousand kilometers - from Barcelona to Malaga. We never quarreled. Nastya suddenly says: "I ordered a fish." And I answered her: "This is the worst thing that you could do in this restaurant." That's how we met. I began to look after Nastya, invite her to Odessa, make dates.

She is very fond of chocolate, so I always bought the best for her. We didn't live together. It was an ideal relationship for me at that time - three years of short meetings, dates, flights, moving, traveling. But on my part, I must say, there were constant attempts to persuade Nastya to live together.

How did your relationship develop?

We visited each other in Odessa and Kiev. I cooked deliciously for Nastya - she was very fond of the rabbit with buckwheat in my performance. Many times we flew on a trip to Italy together. Were in Spain, Germany. Nastya made friends with my daughters. All was good. We quarreled only for one reason - when I asked to move to me in Odessa and leave my job.

How do you communicate with Nastya now?

Unfortunately, we don't communicate much. There were mutual attempts to communicate as friends, but they are limited by the current circumstances. Nastya has her own life, I naturally have my own. It happened so. I really appreciate the past that we had. And I am very grateful to Nastya for every day spent with me, and I wish her happiness.

We met Alena last year in Kiev. At the Fish on Fire restaurant. And then we went together to Odessa to the "Steakhouse" to taste the meat. It was a romantic trip. It turned out that she was a meat eater.

Alena carried me away with her focus ... She is quite balanced and reasonable, she understands me very well, feels ... She knows, probably, what should be further between us. Alena has a good picture of the future and I am very impressed that I am present in it.

And Alena doesn't pull me to the registry office - I like that too. In a word, if a woman doesn’t pull me to the registry office, then she has an additional preference (editor's note - laughs). Alena used to work with food, so she knows a lot about the supply and quality of restaurant ingredients.

I'm interested in her, she inspires me. For the New Year in Kiev, as you know, I opened a 1000 m2 Steakhouse. Alena and I began to live together. I can describe our relationship with one word: “Together”.

Highly! We communicate a lot, discuss problems and achievements, spend weekends together, travel, raise daughters together. We have only 5 of them for two (ed. - laughs). The beloved has a little daughter from her first marriage.

The whole family went to Paris. We rode with our daughters around Burgundy and Provence. We flew to Istanbul. By the way, only I cook breakfasts. Favorite - zucchini pancakes, lazy dumplings, cheese cakes.
