I found a way how to paint eggs for Easter with napkins in a joyful unusual pattern that a child can do, which can be done with your offspring, because decorating eggs is a fun and creative activity.

Ingredients:

- 3 chicken eggs,
- dry food colors: red, green, yellow,
- rubber disposable gloves,
- ear sticks,
- thin white napkins,
- 3 disposable or glass cups.

How to cook from a photo step by step

Pre-boil the eggs and dry them after that.
After that, we take food coloring and pour 1/3 teaspoon into a glass, dilute it with an ear stick and leave it inside the glass, immersed in a colored liquid.
We do the same with each of the three colors.

We take a napkin and divide it into two equal parts.
We wrap the boiled egg in half of a napkin, crush it in shape to press all the edges and irregularities of the paper, and continue to hold it in a gloved hand.

With our free hand, we take an ear stick, painted in paint, and touch the napkin. Colored water spreads over the napkin, forming speckled islets.

We do the same on the unpainted areas of the napkins with other ear sticks painted in different colors. We stop when there are no unpainted spots on the napkin.

Let's do this with all the boiled eggs.
Next, put the eggs until the napkin dries up a little on them. After that, carefully remove the paper napkin. What remains is a bright, variegated egg with streaks of white, a bit like a marble pattern.

Since we use Easter colors for dyes, the mood from them will be festive, joyful. I think you will be interested.
Such eggs can be put on a festive table and presented to family and friends.

And here is another option for painting eggs for Easter with napkins. After all, as you know, there are many ways. These can be natural dyes, for example, beets, onion skins, red cabbage. It can also be artificial food colors. But in these two cases, the eggs will be solid and boring. As usual and the old fashioned way. But dyeing eggs with napkins is very interesting.
We need:
chicken egg - 3 pcs.,
powder food coloring (different colors),
rubber gloves,
ear sticks -3 pcs.,
white table napkins.

Preparation:

Rinse eggs under running water. Boil them. The eggs must be hard boiled. To do this, bring the water (in which you boil the eggs) to a boil and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Then refrigerate the boiled eggs. cold water and dry them.
Let's take care of the dyes. Dilute your dyes according to the instructions on the pack. Stir them with ear sticks.

Next, we work with napkins. Cut the napkin in half. One piece of napkin is enough for one egg. Place the egg in a napkin.

Now the most creative part of the work begins. Coloring. Take the egg wrapped in a napkin in your comfortable hand. In the other hand, you will have an ear stick for dyeing eggs. Apply the paint gently in blobs.
It will be correct if you apply the so-called blot after the previous one stops spreading.

After you finish staining (there should be no gaps), the eggs should be allowed to dry completely.

The final stage. Once our products are dry, remove the colored wrappers from them. Wipe down for greater effect colored eggs sunflower oil(this can be done with an ear stick). A matte shine is guaranteed.
The most interesting thing is that the patterns always come out different, and none of them is repeated.
Here is such a festive life hack.

Most likely, in childhood, everyone loved to do applique work, that is, they cut out various shapes and pasted them on paper. Thus, creating some interesting or original figure. And if so, then this article will surely please you.

Indeed, today, in a similar technique, we will decorate eggs together with you for one of the most important Christian holidays -. And I must say that due to its simplicity, this design method is very popular. This is due to the fact that, in fact, you practically do not need to buy anything for this. Everyone in the kitchen probably has napkins and eggs. And nothing else is needed.

After all, the decoupage technique is nothing more than the usual decoration of the desired item with a cut out piece of paper, and in our case, from a napkin. And to keep all this well used as glue, we will be ordinary egg white... It's that simple.

Although we will slightly touch on another topic, where decoration will be done not for eating, but for admiring. And as a design subject, foam and wood blanks will be used. But in any of the options, all this will be made out in one technique.

When I first saw eggs decorated in detail, I thought that I would never make one. Everything seemed too complicated. But then, when I read how to do it, I was surprised - how easy it turned out to be.

And not only simple, but also quite exciting. Let's look at the easiest way to decorate using decoupage technique together. By the way, translated from French “decouper” means “cut”.

We need:

  • boiled eggs
  • three-layer napkins (with a small pattern)
  • the protein of one egg
  • brush
  • nail scissors (optional)
  • vegetable oil
  • cotton pad

Manufacturing:

1. We must have boiled eggs in advance. And it is better that they were already both cooled and dry.

2. We also need napkins, preferably three-layer ones. Such napkins have very thin layers, and this is good, which means that when the pattern is glued, the seams will not be visible at all.

You can use ordinary napkins, but they are rougher, thicker. And in the case of them, it is necessary to choose a smaller drawing. Since the egg is oval in shape, a large thick pattern will lie on its surface with folds. Then, as a thin layer from a three-layer napkin is distributed much better.

I use just such napkins and peel off the topmost layer first. I haven't said yet that we need them with a small pattern. Well, not only, of course, with small ones, but very large flowers and landscapes will not work in this case. I have two napkins: on one there are many small flowers and leaves, on the second there are both large decorative elements and small ones. We will use both.

3. Our task is to prepare the elements. Met in the description where they are offered to be cut with small nail scissors. But I like to tear off the details more. When you do exactly this, then when decoupage, no joints are visible on a white egg. And it turns out that the drawing seems to be drawn on the shell.

In this case, it is just not clear how this is possible at all. Either the egg was painted, or it was some kind of photo printing, or something else ?!

And just tearing off parts is the longest procedure. Especially if you decide to decorate with small elements. They need to be torn off in such a way that a white edge remains, about about 2 - 0.3 cm. It will make the transition from the pattern to the shell invisible.

I will advise you to immediately lay out the parts in accordance with how you will apply them. That is, roughly imagining how this or that Easter egg will be decorated.

4. We also need protein. To do this, just separate it from the yolk and that's it. Whisk, stir it to nothing. In this case, it will start bubbling, and the bubbles will be visible on the surface of the workpiece, which we just don't need.

Protein is an excellent naturally occurring adhesive. Since we will use the eggs decorated by the decoupage method for food, no other glue or varnish of chemical origin should be used in this case.

But if you are suddenly categorically against protein, then there is another way. You can thinly dilute the starch and glue it. Or, you can also use gelatin with sugar. For this, gelatin is poured sweet water and withstand a certain time. Then it is filtered through cheesecloth and heated to a liquid state.

5. And now that everything is ready, the fun begins. We will create paintings. You can make them the same, or you can create a different pattern each time. When you place them in your Easter basket, they will look great! Moreover, in any of the options you choose.

6. And so, how we create pictures and pictures on the shell. Very simple. We apply the selected part to one of the sides and apply egg white on its surface with a brush. At the same time, we capture the edge and the space behind the edge. This is one way. There is also a second one:

  • Coat the desired area with protein, then put the selected part on it, and apply the protein layer on top again.

Personally, I think this method is optional. One layer is enough. The napkin is so thin that the protein will saturate it through and through. In addition, when there is too much protein, the surface of the egg becomes slippery, and it becomes inconvenient to work with it. Especially when there are a lot of details.

By the way, you don't have to use a brush. You can apply the protein with your finger. So, if the brush was not found, then there is a very real way out.

7. Decorate all prepared eggs in this way. Then let them dry out a little.

8. Then pour some oil into a bowl, moisten a cotton pad and grease the patterned shell.

Do not use a lot of oil, just a little is enough. Then let the surface dry again and put it on a dish or basket.

Wait for the holiday and eat with pleasure. Treat your loved ones and friends, delighting them with your wonderful work.

Video on how to decorate eggs for Easter using decoupage technique

I think that the recipe given above is clear to everyone. But if suddenly some moments are not entirely clear, then in this case I want to bring to your attention a video.

It shows how I distributed the details. Somewhere these were large details with an abundance of smaller ones, but in the same theme. Somewhere I tried to compose the same details in the same color scheme, and somewhere I connected everything together. And it turned out that it was as if I used not two napkins, but much more.

And you can admire the result right now. And although now it is two weeks before Easter, I managed to surprise my friends again. A friend came to my husband, and was very surprised by what he saw. For a long time I went through and examined the work, and could not understand in any way how this could have happened.

At first, he thought I drew it. And when, I told what the secret was, I was surprised a second time, and said that this year he and his wife would be decorating eggs for Easter. Because it is fast and simple and very effective.

By the way, friends, if you liked the video, subscribe to the channel. I will be very glad to see you.

DIY Styrofoam Easter egg using decoupage technique

In the Christian tradition, the tradition of giving each other eggs for Easter has long been preserved. And so that gifts would please the eye for a long time, they learned to decorate and decorate them beautifully. Such a souvenir can be stored for a long time, and you can admire it not only on holidays, but also on weekdays.

And also such a craft is a kind of a kind of home amulet. Therefore, sometimes, some of them have a whole collection.

A whole article has already been written. And today we will consider how this can be done specifically using the decoupage technique. And for starters, let's take a blank of their foam.

We need:

  • foam blank
  • PVA glue
  • acrylic paint
  • acrylic varnish
  • brush
  • three-layer napkins
  • scissors (suddenly come in handy)

Manufacturing:

If we could stick only a part of a drawing on a boiled egg, then this will not work with our blank. Its surface is porous, and if you leave empty, untreated places, the overall picture will look incomplete. Therefore, we have prepared acrylic paint.

There are two options for using it:

  • the surface of the workpiece is completely primed with paint. And then the desired pattern is applied using separate fragments of the napkin. This method is used when the elements of the picture are small, or only one large fragment.
  • first, the fragments are glued, and then the free spaces are painted over with paint. This method can be used when napkins are applied around the entire central perimeter of the egg. In this case, paint is applied only to the polar regions.

The first way is closer to me. In this case, the surface is smoother and more even. Especially if white is used. Any fragment fits perfectly on it. And even if later you need to add another color corresponding to the picture, then it will perfectly fit on white.

And so how to do everything.

1. Prime the surface of the egg with white acrylic paint. Give it a chance to dry out. You can simply paint it with a brush, or you can do it with a dishwashing sponge. In this case, the coating will turn out to be slightly foamed.

2. Meanwhile, tear off the desired fragment from the napkin. Let me remind you that it is better to take them in three layers, and we will only need the third layer with the pattern applied to it. It is very thin and due to the fact that we do not cut out the fragment, but tear it off along the contour, the seam will not be visible at all.

As I said in the first description, it is necessary to tear off the part, leaving 0.3 - 0.4 cm of a white contour strip.

3. When the paint dries, attach the torn piece to the desired place and coat it with PVA glue directly on top of it. To do this, you can use a brush, but someone likes to apply it directly with their finger. Which is quite consistent with the well-known combination of "hand made".

Then wait again until the glue dries.

4. Apply varnish on top.

In the second use case, the scheme is somewhat different.

1. First, glue the torn off fragment with PVA glue. Then apply paint in a contrasting color to the free areas. If necessary, paint additional elements with this or other paint.

2. And after drying, apply varnish. A spray varnish is especially suitable for these purposes.

To decorate the workpiece and draw on it, you can insert a skewer into the lower part, and hold the workpiece on it to draw and paint.

You can decorate with two types of different napkins at once. Use one as a background, and the other as a picture. In this case, it is not necessary to apply a primer. Especially if the first layer is mottled enough.

Alternatively, you can primer in two coats using the same sponge. First use white, then pink. Then proceed to decoupage with napkins. And if you wish, even for voluminous jewelry.

And of course, there are simply no boundaries in such creativity of fantasy. When there is general knowledge of how to do this, then you can create real masterpieces.

Master class of decorating techniques with napkins for a wooden Easter egg

By and large, there are no special differences from working with a foam blank. But let's dwell briefly on this topic as well.

As a rule, the piece of wood should also be treated with an acrylic primer. It itself has a textured surface with an appropriate color. And if light elements are used for decoration, then it will shine through a thin napkin.

In addition, the surface of the wooden blank is very smooth, and parts will slide off from it. And when primed, the surface will become more comfortable to work with.

Priming can be done with a regular brush, or you can use a dishwashing sponge. If you apply a primer with its help, then the surface will be embossed.

However, the surface is not always polished. In this case, you will need to do it yourself. You can use "zero" sandpaper for this.

Separate the desired fragment from the napkin. If it is very large, then it is better to divide it into several parts. Then glue them one by one. If you leave the part large, then on the convex surface of the workpiece it may not lie quite neatly, and folds, creases and irregularities may appear on it, from which the appearance will suffer.

Fragments can be glued using PVA glue or special glue for blending. You can apply it with a brush or finger on a fragment attached in the right place. After applying the glue, it must be allowed to dry completely.

And then apply acrylic varnish to the drawing.

If necessary, touch up the necessary places with paint.

And you can also arrange embossed tracks in a contrasting color.

This is the easiest way to decorate a wooden blank with napkins, and there are more complex ones. For example, in the same technique, you can decorate with volumetric elements. They can be made from the same napkins glued to a thermal film, or you can use ready-made beads, rhinestones, etc.

As a rule, a wooden egg is placed on a stand. It is also decorated with paints and varnishes. And it usually sticks to it.

Today I told you about the simplest design methods. But there are craftswomen who create real masterpieces. Additionally, the form is decorated with paints.

Create gorgeous looks using the aging effect.

Or they paint real pictures.

Several different techniques are used simultaneously.

All this is quite possible. But this is already the highest skill, which can be achieved with desire and diligence. But it would seem ... The main material is just ordinary napkins.

But you must admit that even thanks to the very simple techniques considered today, the products are simply magnificent. And I want to do these with my own hands.

And at the end of today's article, I want to congratulate you on the upcoming Easter, and also wish you all the best! And create such masterpieces that are pleasant to give and receive as a gift.

Method number 1

This is one of the easiest ways I've come across. But in the end, Easter eggs the result is unusually beautiful, unique: although they may be slightly similar.

Ingredients:

  • eggs;
  • napkins;
  • food colors of various colors.

We paint eggs with napkins. Step by step recipe

  1. Dilute food colors in accordance with the instructions on the package. I mostly use 5-6 colors, but you can on your own. Paint pots - Cups are great, but I mostly use plastic cups to keep the bright colors off my household dishes.
  2. Boil eggs for 7-10 minutes, cover with cold water for a couple of minutes and you can start painting. We use them while still warm so that the colors are better fixed on the shell.
  3. We wrap them in 2-3 layers of napkin so that it does not break through during staining.
  4. We scoop up the dyes in a random order with a spoon (in a tea or dining room) and pour it onto the egg in such a way that each time a new color is applied to an unpainted fragment of the napkin.
  5. When all the places on the napkin are painted, we press it with our hands directly to the shell. Put on a dish and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  6. After we remove the napkin, and we get delicious, varied and very beautiful dyes.
  7. We leave them to dry completely: for at least 2 hours.
Method number 2

This method is used to decorate gift options for eggs, they are not eaten - this is a beautiful hand-made craft. You can decorate the room with such eggs, congratulate your family and friends - and so on. I cannot skip this method of painting because the egg itself turns out to be simply gorgeous. You know, it can be viewed for a long time, making associations - it's like looking into the starry sky.

Ingredients:

  • container with water;
  • toothpick or skewers;
  • nail polish of different colors;

Marble colored eggs with nail polish at home. Step by step recipe

  1. Since these eggs are not for food, therefore, we only need the shells to work. Using the nose of a knife or a needle, make small holes on both sides in the shell (with a diameter of 2-3 millimeters). Blow out the white and yolk from the middle using the juice straw.
  2. Wash the shell well and dry it.
  3. Pour water into a small container (container) (I use a container measuring about 10x7 centimeters), pour a few drops of different bright varnishes on top of it (I mainly use 4-5 colors, and you focus on yourself). You have a thin film. Stir it lightly with a toothpick or skewer.

Another tip: when you pour out the varnishes, make circular movements with your hand so that one bloom does not flow to one point.

  1. We immerse the shell in water so that it is completely covered with a varnish film. We take it out and dry it. To set the application faster, I use a hair dryer.

Marble Easter eggs are ready! They turned out to be simply delightful, exclusive: such that they are already breathtaking! Before dyeing a new egg, carefully collect the remnants of the previous varnish in water and fill in a new batch of flowers.

Method number 3

This method can be used both for eggs that will be served on the table and for handicrafts. The difference is that if you do not plan to eat them, then you can take ordinary PVA glue to fix the pictures and decorate the shell. And for edible eggs, we use protein-based glue.

Ingredients:

  • eggs;
  • napkins with pictures;
  • crude protein;
  • food coloring - optional;
  • scissors, brush, toothpicks.

Decoupage an Easter egg at home. Step by step recipe

  1. Boil eggs hard-boiled.
  2. For food glue: pass the protein through a sieve or shake slightly, but only so that no foam bubbles form on its surface: because the work will not look neat when it dries.
  3. In napkins, separate the top layer (if you use multilayer ones) and carefully cut out the pictures. Please note: the larger the cut out picture, the more difficult it is to glue it beautifully.
  4. Lubricate the surface of the shell with squirrel, attach the cut out picture and smooth it with your hands or a brush. Then dip the brush into the egg white and go over the top of the sticker. Apply "glue" from the center of the design to its edges, trying to expel all the air from under the napkin.
  5. After that, proceed to sticking a new fragment, being careful not to touch the previous one. When everything is applied, spread the protein over the entire surface of the shell and lay to dry on a wire rack of toothpicks.
  6. After 30 minutes, I re-coat with protein glue and dry again with toothpicks.

Original Easter eggs in decoupage style are ready! They turned out to be irresistible! Optionally, you can additionally paint with food colors diluted in water - according to the instructions.

I advise you to wear gloves when painting and decorating. Firstly, you will avoid getting your hands dirty, and, secondly, circles from fingerprints may remain on the shell - it does not look neat.

Next, you need to mix the icing sugar with water until you get a thick slurry. When the eggs are cold, you can apply the pattern as you like using a pastry bag. It all depends on the imagination of the author. In addition, you can use special stencils, of which you can find a huge amount on the Internet and for every taste.

This will make the application process more efficient. Next, you should dilute several types of paints in different containers and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar there.

Initially, the egg should be dipped in the desired paint, repeat with all. Eggs should be set aside until completely dry. Next, you need to lower the colored egg to half in another paint. Also let dry. This procedure can be performed several times.

You can afford the most daring color combinations. After staining on colored egg any decorative element can be applied. However, even without them, they will look very beautiful.

QUILING ON EGGS

One of the most unique egg decorating techniques is the use of new techniques. One of these is quilling. This is the art of making various patterns out of paper without the aid of scissors. Nowadays, you can find whole paintings created in the quilling style. Of course, the egg does not have a large surface, but you can also make a real masterpiece out of paper on it. But many craftsmen manage to create whole pictures: various volumetric animals, people, decorative elements can be folded out of paper.

They are presented to relatives, friends, neighbors, visiting guests, taken with them on a visit, distributed to the poor and brought to church.

Today, on the eve of the Resurrection of Christ, all stores sell a variety of food colors, films, sequins, stickers and other decors for decorating eggs with Easter symbols. However, many housewives still paint eggs using the old methods: onion skins, beet juice, red cabbage, etc. Today we will talk about the various ways of dyeing eggs for Easter.

Natural dyes for eggs

Natural dyes are completely harmless to health. For a more intense color, after boiling, continue to keep the eggs in the colored broth until they acquire the desired shade. Remove the painted ones from the broth with a slotted spoon, put them on a plate and cool or decorate further.
  • Onion peel. Remove the husk from the onion, cover it with water, boil and cook for 30-40 minutes over medium heat. Cool the broth and strain. Then put the eggs in it, boil and cook hard boiled for 7-10 minutes after boiling. Onion skins impart shades ranging from light yellow to bright red-brown.
  • Spinach, nettle or brilliant green solution. Dip the eggs in a saucepan along with the spinach and nettle leaves. Cook them hard-boiled for up to 10 minutes. The greens in the grass will give a green color. You can also get green Easter eggs with a solution of brilliant green, in which already boiled eggs are placed and kept until the desired color.
  • Turmeric and violet. To obtain yellow krashanok, the testicles are boiled in water with the addition of turmeric, purple - with violet flowers. If you add to violets lemon juice, then you get a lavender color.
  • Walnut shell. The method of coloring is the same, eggs are boiled with shells walnut and get brown or light beige.
  • Cranberry, blackberry and beetroot juice. These products will be colored pink. To obtain beet juice, boil peeled beets with vinegar until tender. Boil the eggs in the resulting broth. First wash the cranberries or blackberries, squeeze out the juice in any way convenient for you, and then boil the eggs in it in the same way.
  • Carrot juice. Boil peeled carrots to get a yellow broth. Dip the prepared eggs into the juice and cook hard.
  • Coffee, hibiscus tea, mint tea. Boil eggs in ground coffee, get them brown or beige, in hibiscus tea - pink, with mint leaves - pistachio.

  6. To dry the eggs neatly, place them on the needles inserted in a 2x2 cm square into the foam.
  7. After complete staining and cooling of the dyes, they can be rubbed with a cotton swab dipped in vegetable oil. This will enhance the brightness of the color, adding shine and saturation.

Beautifully decorated boiled eggs are an essential attribute of such a great Orthodox holiday, Easter. Each hostess wants to decorate eggs in a special, exclusive way. This article will help both seasoned housewives and those still completely inexperienced to make Easter eggs really beautiful and unique, without spending a lot of money and time.

Materials required to color eggs with dyes

On the eve of Easter, markets and supermarkets have a large selection of food colors for making Easter eggs. Therefore, to color the eggs in the classic way using dyes, just buy it.
To color eggs with food dyes, you will need:

  • Eggs.
  • Dye bag of the desired color.
  • Tablespoon.
  • Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Sunflower oil - 1 tbsp

The classic version of dyeing eggs with dyes

Having prepared the necessary materials for work, we paint the eggs in stages:

  • Pour eggs at room temperature with cold water and cook hard-boiled for 10-15 minutes.
  • Pour ready hot eggs with cold water and wait until they cool completely.
  • While the eggs are cooling, prepare the dyeing solution. Usually on bags of purchased food coloring instructions for the preparation of the coloring solution are written.
  • If it is not there, then you must do the following: pour the contents of the package into 0.2-0.5 liters of water, stir well. The color concentration depends on the volume of water used.
  • Pour the staining solution into a shallow, flat container.
  • Treat eggs with vinegar before painting. Soak a small linen cloth in vinegar and wipe the shells of each egg. This is done to degrease the surface to be painted.
  • Put a dry egg ready for painting on a tablespoon and dip it into the prepared solution.
  • We do such actions with the number of eggs that you want to paint in the selected color.
  • The eggs should stand in the staining solution for 5 minutes.
  • With the help of a tablespoon, we take them out of the solution and put them on a paper napkin so that the excess water is glass.
  • After complete drying, rub the painted shell with sunflower oil, this will give the egg a shine, the color will become more saturated and will play in the sun.

An unusual way to paint eggs with dyes

For unusual way we prepare egg coloring in the same way as described above. Package with food coloring we dilute in 100 g of water and perform the following actions:

  • Pour the coloring liquid into a tall glass so that it covers the bottom by 2 fingers.
  • We lower the prepared egg there. It should be half immersed in the dye solution.
  • We wait 3-5 minutes and add plain water to the glass so that it completely covers the egg.
  • After 5 minutes, we take out the egg.

The Easter egg will turn out to be darker on one side, and on the other side, the color will not be so saturated.

Painting eggs with dyes using electrical tape

The method is quite interesting. In addition to the above materials, you will need electrical tape.

  • Cut the electrical tape into narrow strips.
  • We wrap the prepared egg with electrical tape, a spiral.
  • Dip in a dye of the same color, for example, in yellow, let stand for 5 minutes.
  • We take it out, let it dry, remove the electrical tape.
  • We wind the electrical tape on the other side, overlapping the previous strips.
  • Immerse it in a dyeing solution of a different color, blue or green, and stand for another 5 minutes.
  • Put on a napkin and, after drying, remove the electrical tape.

As a result, you will get an original Easter egg with multi-colored spirals. The vowel condition is that the first dye should be several tones lighter than the second.
You can also cut out various figures from electrical tape, stick them on and follow the steps described above. Such eggs will not yield to their originality.

Coloring Easter eggs with money gum

The easiest way to do original egg... You will need a few rubber bands for money.

  • We put rubber bands for money on the prepared eggs, winding them randomly.
  • We paint the egg in the classical way for 5 minutes.
  • We take out and let dry.
  • Remove the rubber band and the original egg is ready.

Experiment with dyes and improvised means, and then the bright Easter holiday will become not only bright, but also original and beautiful.

Spring is not far off, and with it one of the brightest holidays of the year - Easter. Both adults and children are looking forward to it. The tradition of exchanging colored eggs is familiar to every person from childhood. The multi-colored attributes of the holiday, as which we paint eggs for Easter, symbolize the Resurrection of Christ and are handed over with the words: "Christ is risen!" "Truly resurrected!" - and the one who congratulated gets an egg in return.

Types of Easter eggs

Each hostess tries to make beautiful and unusual eggs on this bright holiday. The name of the resulting eggs depends on which method of staining to use. For example, eggs painted in one color are called dyed eggs. Eggs with multi-colored dots are called specks due to droplets of wax. The drapanka is a one-color egg with a scratched pattern. With a drawing or pattern made using a special tool - a scribbler - these are Easter eggs. They are the most beautiful, they can even be called works of art.

Preparing eggs for painting

There are many ways to paint eggs for Easter. However, regardless of the option chosen, it is necessary to properly prepare. Here are some tips:

  • an hour before staining, the eggs should be removed from the refrigerator so that they reach room temperature. In this case, they will not burst during cooking. The same result can be achieved by piercing the egg with a thin sharp needle;
  • in order for the paint to lay down smoother, they must be thoroughly washed. Color consistency can also be ensured by wiping the eggs with soapy water or alcohol;
  • colored eggs will acquire a shiny appearance if, after painting, they are wiped dry and rubbed with vegetable oil.

Now you can go directly to painting the eggs. There are several ways among which everyone can find the most acceptable for themselves.

The first way: classics of the genre - in onion skins with patterns

This is the way of our grandmothers, which still remains relevant. As a result, you can get red eggs, as well as yellow, brown or their shades - it all depends on the intensity of the paint and the duration of the staining procedure.

When boiled in onion skins, the dyes are monochromatic. To decorate them with prints of flowers or leaves, you will need the fragments of dried plants themselves and something with which you will fix them on the shell. It is best to use a stocking nylon as a retainer. If not, you can take ordinary white thread or gauze (bandage).

To prevent dry plants from crumbling during attachment, soak them in hot water for a few minutes. After softening, lay on the shell and secure by wrapping the testicle with nylon, bandage or thread. Then dip the eggs in water with onion skins and cook.

For straight lines or natural geometric patterns on a reddish-brown background, stick pieces of duct tape or stationery tape over the alcohol-free shells of raw eggs. After boiling in onion skins, the stickers can be easily removed, exposing unpainted areas.

Method two: gifts of nature - natural dyes

Many natural ingredients have a coloring effect. This allows you to get a variety of colors and shades. Pink color is given by beet juice, pale yellow - lemon, orange, carrot, yellow - birch leaves, calendula flowers. Green can be achieved with spinach or nettle, blue with red cabbage... Coffee gives beige to eggs, and violet flowers to purple. Some dyes do not work too intensely, for example, violet or spinach, so eggs can be left in such broths overnight.

  1. Pour water into a saucepan, add vinegar (1 tablespoon) and natural dye. Bring to a boil. Let the broth steep (about 30 minutes).
  2. Boil prepared eggs in the broth, depending on the desired shade - from 15 to 30 minutes. If necessary, you can leave the eggs in the broth and longer - for a day.

Third: decoupage technique

You don't need to buy stickers to decorate an Easter egg with a picture. You can decorate it using decoupage technique.

Fourth: the food industry presents - food colorings

One of the most trivial and simplest ways is to paint eggs using dyes from Easter kits. There is always a recipe, but you can do it as follows:

  1. Hard boil the eggs.
  2. Dilute the dyes with water - each color in a separate bowl. There should be enough water to cover the eggs. Add vinegar (1 tablespoon).
  3. Keep eggs in bowls until they turn color.

Bright multi-colored eggs are obtained, pleasing to the eye.

Fifth: colorful palette - colored threads

To obtain intricate stains, paint the eggs with multi-colored floss threads:

  1. Wrap the eggs with threads.
  2. Cook it hard boiled.

Sixth: marble effect

They look unusually festive marble eggs... For their execution, you will need paint for eggs of different colors, vegetable oil and artistic flair.

  1. Color the eggs in light, bright colors, such as yellow, red, orange.
  2. Let the eggs dry.
  3. Dilute dark colors (blue, brown, purple) with water. Add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil to each cup. Stir gently (do not shake) the oil so that there are a lot of oil "money", no larger than a pea.
  4. Dip each egg in a dark color and remove immediately. A beautiful marble pattern is obtained if you do this no more than once.

Seventh: eggs in silks

Exquisite eggs with patterns are obtained by dyeing them with fabrics. You can use a silk tie or a Pavloposad woolen shawl.

    1. A raw egg should be wrapped in a patterned cloth. The front side should fit snugly against the shell.
    2. To prevent the fabric from slipping, sew along the contour. Wrap it over the colored cotton cloth, securing it at the blunt end.

  1. Pour water into a saucepan, add vinegar (3 tablespoons). Place the wrapped eggs in a saucepan and cook for 10-12 minutes after boiling.
  2. Fill in ready eggs cold water. When they are completely cool, carefully remove the fabric. A subtle pattern will remain on the egg, such as on the fabric.

Eighth: fantasy in patterns with the help of scrap materials

  • chaotic specks can be achieved if wet eggs are rolled in rice or millet before coloring;
  • a leaf-like drawing can be obtained by attaching a parsley leaf to the egg before coloring and fixing it with gauze or stocking;
  • in order for the egg to cross even lines, you can glue masking tape on its shell or pull an elastic band for money over it;
  • symbols or letters XB can be glued on before painting using a plaster or masking tape. After painting, they should be carefully removed;
  • eggs "in the box" will be obtained by boiling them wrapped in fishnet stockings or in a net of fruits or vegetables.
  • a lace pattern will decorate an egg if you fix an interesting lace motif cut from a napkin on it before painting;
  • paint the egg with crayons. The drawing will appear at the end of the staining procedure.

The ninth way: for the delight of children - a craft egg

Easter is a family holiday, so you can start decorating eggs with your children. You can make funny chickens out of testicles.

  1. Cook hard boiled eggs.
  2. We paint in bright yellow.
  3. Preparing gelatin glue.
  4. Decorate the eggs with details cut out of colored paper. These are wings, beak, comb, legs, ponytail and others (bows, eyelashes, curls) - it all depends on imagination. The eyes can be glued or simply painted.

Tenth: save time - iron-on transfers

A method indispensable for busy people, - decorate eggs for Easter with thermal stickers. They are sold on the eve of the holiday in supermarkets, newsstands and other stores.

  1. Hard boil the eggs.
  2. Place the sticker on the egg. To avoid problems with the size (the sticker may be small), it is better to choose medium-sized eggs.
  3. Dip the egg in boiling water so that the sticker "hugs" it and takes the desired shape.

Eleventh: stencils - back to the future

Using stencils to dye eggshells is a relatively traditional method. But as they say, "New is well forgotten old." Let's remember the times when it was very entertaining to draw images using stencil bases. You feel like an artist. We invite you to remember this technique and try it on Easter eggs. The result will be surprising.

  1. We cut out any stencil image from ultrathin paper (tracing paper). It can be anything you want (Easter theme, images of saints, and even your favorite brand). You can find an image for a stencil on the Internet or on the pages of books and magazines. The better the image and stencil, the more effective the result.
  2. We moisten the made stencil base with water until plastic paper is formed that can take the shape of a shell.
  3. Firmly attach the wetted stencil to the surface. If the drawing is small in size, you can duplicate it around the entire perimeter, and not be limited to one side.
  4. We fix it with a stencil, wrapping it with nylon or gauze. We boil eggs, using any types of dyes for coloring (natural, food).
  5. Having welded them, we take out and allow to cool.
  6. We remove the material that fixes the stencil and stencil base only after they have completely cooled down.
  7. The pattern you have chosen is visible on the eggshell.

Twelfth: stylish permanent makeup for eggs

If you are tired of tradition, refuse to use dyes, and the Soul requires something exclusive - there is a way out. Use a permanent marker to paint the eggshells. As the saying goes, "cheap and cheerful."

  1. Boil them.
  2. If your fantasy fails, use the existing images and fragments of patterns.
  3. Place the egg on the delivery for easier patterning. As a result, the drawing will be uniform and clear.
  4. Draw lines using a permanent marker.
  5. After completing the creative process, let the paint dry. An hour will be enough.

Combine your creativity and the child's imagination, giving him the opportunity to do the same, but only with colored felt-tip pens or honey-based watercolors. Both will be happy: joint work disposes.

Thirteenth: foil and colored confetti - simple but tasteful

Fashion trends are so diverse that it is no longer necessary to paint Easter eggs, you can follow the path of least resistance - wrap them in colored foil.

  1. Buy colored foil from your office supply store (don't be limited to standard gold and silver foil) and colored paper.
  2. Boil the eggs.
  3. Let them cool down.
  4. Cut the foil into equal portions for the number of eggs.
  5. Pre-make the elements for the applique. Instead of applique, you can use ready-made confetti.
  6. Wrap the cooled boiled eggs in foil, fix the applique or confetti elements on the foil using glue.

Fourteenth: snow-white patterns with powdered sugar

Sugar will help to diversify and make traditional dyes more stylish. Unusual patterns, printed texture makes the eggshell irresistible.

  1. We paint in the standard way using various dyes.
  2. Mix a glass of powdered sugar with a small volume of water so that a rather thick consistency is formed. The resulting mass should be homogeneous, that is, not contain lumps. If there is no powdered sugar, you can easily make it yourself; for this, sugar (there should be more than a glass) is enough to put in a coffee grinder. The quality of the powder is not inferior to the store.
  3. We collect the sugar solution into the confectionery syringe.
  4. We apply the pattern and let the solution harden.

Fifteenth: rainbow eggs and the power of colors

Brightness and richness, individuality and uniqueness are inherent in dyes painted using this technology. Be sure that each egg is original, so the probability of having exclusive dyes on the table is 100%.

  1. Boil the eggs, be sure to hard-boiled.
  2. Cool (it is desirable that the eggs are warm, then the process of applying paint will be more efficient).
  3. In separate containers, dilute the paint of your choice according to the instructions. It is desirable that the paints be of contrasting colors.
  4. Be sure to add 2 tablespoons of vinegar to each container.
  5. Stir.
  6. Dip each of the eggs into a container of paint, gently supporting it with a spoon.
  7. Leave them in the solution for a while. This will allow you to achieve an even paint distribution.
  8. Take out the already painted objects and let them dry, leaving them to dry on a paper towel.
  9. Take the painted egg with your fingers (you can use tweezers) and dip it in another paint, but just do not dip it completely, but only halfway.
  10. Soak it in the paint solution for a minute. It is important that the paint has time to take to the shell.
  11. Remove and dry thoroughly on a paper towel.

This sequence can be carried out several times, changing only the color solutions.

Sixteenth: wax crayons (crayons)

Using ordinary wax crayons to children's creativity You can paint Easter eggs with all the colors of the rainbow. And also apply a white (lace) pattern on them.

How to get a colored drawing on a natural background:

  1. Boil eggs in clean water with added salt. The shell color can be any color, as it will be hidden under a layer of opaque wax.
  2. When done, dry the shells and place the eggs on special stands. Instead of coasters, you can use plastic bottle caps.
  3. While the testicles are hot, paint them with crayons. On contact with a hot surface, the wax melts and forms bizarre, bright patterns with color transitions on the shell.

You can also finely grate the pencils and sprinkle them over the eggs you just boiled. Grains of wax will create an unusual mottled or cosmic pattern on them. By the way, some housewives melt crumbs of wax in a water bath and dip the testicles in liquid dye. Or drawing is applied with a brush.

How to get a white pattern on a colored background:

  • Rinse raw eggs with running water and rinse with soapy water (this will help the paint lay smoother).
  • Dry the shells with a towel. Draw on it with wax crayons (the color of the crayons does not matter).
  • Dip the eggs in any color solution and cook. When boiling, the wax will melt and go into water, and the places that were under it will remain unpainted.
  • After removing from the heat, immediately remove the paints from the solution.

Seventeenth: candle, grits, pastry sprinkles

Easter eggs can be decorated with the most common cereals - rice, millet, buckwheat, peas, lentils, ground corn. And also - confectionery sprinkles from colored glaze or chocolate, small noodles in the form of stars and even beads. To fix all this on the shell, you need a wax or paraffin candle.

  1. Boil the eggs. You can pre-color them in any way or leave them natural.
  2. After cooling down, take the testicle in your hands, light a candle and paint on the shell with melted paraffin or wax. This will be the adhesive base. Try not to touch the egg with the flame so that no grime remains on it.
  3. While the wax is still wet, roll the egg in the grits (sprinkles) or lay out the pattern with your hands.
  4. After hardening, lubricate the surface covered with grits with vegetable oil to make it shine. This will make the testicle look more elegant.

Eighteenth: cocoa and eyes

Together with children, you can decorate eggs with diluted cocoa powder and decorative stickers, it will turn out very original and unusual. You can draw anything you want: faces, faces of animals or insects.

  1. Cook chicken eggs until tender: 10-15 minutes. Cool slightly in cold water.
  2. Put a tablespoon of cocoa in a small container and dilute it warm water to the state of sour cream.
  3. Brush the pattern onto the warm egg and place the painted side up on a dry surface until the chocolate pattern is dry.
  4. Glue decorative eyes (available at craft stores). Stickers can be adhesive or not, then use PVA glue.

Burn fat on target in problem areas

How to paint eggs for Easter with your own hands

The holiday of Easter is coming soon, which is one of the most significant and revered events of the Christian religion. On this day, everyone says "Christ is risen!" and give colored eggs and Easter cakes, and those who accept this gift say "He is truly risen." And if Easter cakes can be purchased without any problems in the store, then in order to get beautiful eggs, you need to try. There are several types of gift eggs: dyed eggs (eggs painted in the same color), drapanki (eggs with a scratched pattern), Easter eggs (painted eggs) and speckled eggs (eggs covered with beads of wax). We will describe modern methods, and one of the most popular is how to paint eggs in rags.

General Tips:

- eggs must be fresh;

- you need to get them out of the refrigerator and wait at least half an hour for them to warm up to room temperature;

- potential dyes must be thoroughly washed;

- in order for the egg after staining to be bright and shiny - you need to rub it with a cloth moistened with vegetable oil.

List of popular methods for dyeing eggs:

How to paint eggs for Easter in rags

You can dye the egg using bright silk rags or other rags that will most likely fade when washed. Alternatively, buy scarves or ties with bright patterns at a flea market or sale. The face of the flap should be firmly attached to the shell.

You can stitch the egg to prevent it from sliding. Next, you need to wrap it tightly in cotton and place it in a saucepan.

Pour water there and add 3 tablespoons of vinegar. Cook for about 15 minutes after boiling. After that, pour cold water over them and remove the cloth. The eggs will have the same pattern as on the fabric.

In onion skins

The most classic and natural version. As a result, shades from yellow to brown are obtained - all depending on the time of staining and the amount of husk. For example, if you need a bright red color, then you need to take the husk of six large onions and one and a half glasses of water. Boil it for 25-30 minutes. Wait until the solution is infused, about an hour. After that, you can immerse raw eggs in a boiling broth of onion peels, boil as usual and rinse with chilled water (so that the eggs are well cleaned).

How to color eggs in onion skins

There are many various ways dyeing eggs, but traditional dyeing in onion husks remains the most popular. The main reason is the naturalness of the paint, because during the painting process it can burst and the paint gets inside. Plus, this is a guarantee of 100% of the result, because the staining will turn out in any case, the intensity and depth of color may differ.

Time for dyeing eggs in husks is 45 minutes.

We will need:

Chicken eggs

Onion peel

Table salt - 2 tablespoons

Vegetable oil

How to paint eggs for Easter in onion skins:

First you need to collect the onion skins. How much will you need? It directly depends on what color depth you want to get. If your goal is to get a rich burgundy color, then first you need eggs with white shells, and of course a lot of brown husks.

Fill the onion peel with water. At the same time, you need to get the eggs out of the refrigerator, wash them well, and leave them on the table, warm up to room temperature. This will protect them from damage (cracks) during cooking.

We send the pan with the husk to the fire and wait for it to boil.

After the husk has boiled, make the fire quieter and boil the paint for 20-30 minutes. 5 minutes before the end of cooking, add salt and stir. This should also keep the shell from cracking.

Now you can dip the eggs into the onion paint. You can get creative and wrap the eggs in pieces of lace fabric. If this is done very tightly, a pattern will be imprinted on the egg.

Gently dip the eggs into the paint one at a time. Use a spoon to push back the husk so that the eggs do not cram one another.

We take experimental “models” in lace by the “tails”, and also dip them into the paint made of onion peels.

Cook eggs for 15-20 minutes. Some of them, of course, can burst. But if you have not forgotten to put in the salt, then most of it will remain intact.

After the specified time, we take the eggs out of the paint with a spoon and send them to a container with cold water to cool and fix the color. That is, you should not scratch them with a spoon, we do everything carefully and accurately, otherwise all efforts will be lost. Remove pieces of lace from the experimental models.

Wipe the cooled eggs dry. Attention - paint can still get on the fabric, so take a towel, which is not a pity to ruin it. Well colored eggs are obtained, the experiment was also successful - we see a clear imprint of the pattern on the shell. The only negative - the eggs are matte, without shine. Therefore, we drip a little on the sponge vegetable oil and rub the eggs until a beautiful shine. Ours are ready!

To give the dyes even more festive look, you can stick special Easter stickers. Now you know how to color eggs naturally.

How to paint eggs for Easter with your own hands without dyes

Common products can also be used as dyes: purple (beet juice), yellow (carrot, orange slices), green (spinach, nettle slices), blue (red cabbage), beige (tea). You need to pour so much water into the pan, which will completely cover the eggs, then you need to add dye and 2 teaspoons and vinegar.

Leave to brew for about four hours. Place boiled eggs in a container with dye and leave for several hours. These dyes don't work as hard as the husks. Therefore, in some cases, eggs can be kept in solution for about a day.

Decoupage eggs

A fashionable option for decorating white eggs. To create such eggs, you need gelatin glue and cute bright napkins (cut out the pattern and separate the top layer).

First, you need to hard-boil the eggs. Then take the cut out piece from the napkin and attach the pattern to the shell. Next, you need to apply gelatin glue from the middle of the picture to the edges.

TIPS HOW TO COLOR EGGS FOR EASTER Yellow color gives a decoction of chamomile with the addition of turmeric and carrots. Coloring preparation: Take 1 liter of water, 3 tablespoons each of turmeric / curry powder and grated red carrots, cook for 30 minutes. take 1 liter of water, 4 or 5 sachets of chamomile, cook for 20-30 minutes. Orange gives juice orange peel, tangerine peel juice, paprika, red carrot juice. Dye preparation: 4 tbsp. spoons of paprika need to be boiled for 30 minutes in a saucepan with a glass of water, then put eggs in the broth. Soak boiled hot eggs in carrot juice with the addition of turmeric (the proportions are arbitrary and depend on which shade you like best). The red-brick color is given by the infusion of black strong tea, onion peel (you can get a color up to dark brown-burgundy). You can also use pomegranate peel for a brown color. Colorant preparation: Onion peel or collect the pomegranate peel in a wide saucepan. Fill with water so that the pan is not full. Put the husk / rind on and simmer. Cook for 45-50 minutes to get a dark, rich color. The pink color is given by twigs or cherry bark, beet juice. Dye preparation: pour 4 cups of chopped beets with 4 cups of water, cook for 35 minutes, drain the colored water and soak the eggs in it. Bluish gray, purple colors the color can be obtained using blueberries, lingonberries or blueberries (the berry must be frozen from last year), red cabbage leaves - the broth will be red, but the eggs will turn blue. Dye preparation: Boil blueberries for a short time and strain. Cool down. Put eggs washed in warm water and boil. The intensity of the color depends on the concentration - the number of berries per volume of water. For the color to come out purple, you need to take a little more blueberries than for blue and let it brew for several hours before boiling eggs in this broth. Green color is given by carrot tops, dried spinach, parsley, nettle, turmeric blueberry decoction. Dye preparation: For 2-3 eggs and 0.5 liters of water, take about a handful of carrot tops. Cook for 30 minutes. Drop eggs. Boil eggs with dried nettle infusion (3 tablespoons of chopped nettle per liter of water). For 1 liter of blueberry broth - 2-3 teaspoons full of turmeric powder. Turmeric, in order to avoid the appearance of lumps, first grind with water in a small bowl and only then place in a decoction of blueberries. Note: To prevent the eggs from cracking during staining, they should not be cold (from the refrigerator), they should be kept for several hours at room temperature and wash in warm water before painting. If, after staining, put the eggs in the same broth overnight in the refrigerator, then the color of the shell will be brighter. After staining, you can rub the eggs with sunflower oil, then they will acquire an amazing shine.
