Get so delicious and crumbly porridge like in a cartoon, you will never succeed, using ordinary gas or electric stoves, even then using the subsequent languor and wrapping. Porridge in a slow cooker turns out to be very tender and airy. And thanks to the special regime - "milk porridge", many mothers have the opportunity to feed their children with healthy and tasty dairy products, and at the same time in the morning they can soak up the bed a little longer.

How to cook delicious porridge in a slow cooker

In automatic mode - "milk porridge" if in the evening you put the washed cereal in a special bowl and pour it with milk, adding salt, butter and sugar to taste and set the timer so that the end of the process ends in the morning, then for breakfast the whole family will be able to get delicious porridge... The porridge will cook, and you and your family will sleep and you will not need to constantly monitor the cooking process. Which is especially tiring when milk porridge is being cooked on the stove.

The procedure for preparing porridge in a multicooker itself is slightly different from ordinary cooking, so if you have just got a multicooker, try to follow the recommendations prescribed in the instructions as closely as possible and use those recipes that are adapted for this multicooker. Depending on the amount of liquid added, you can cook porridge of any consistency you need.

Also, in addition to milk porridge, you can cook any other porridge, the taste of which will in no way be inferior to the taste of the porridge that is cooked in a light brown oven. To do this, you just need to use the "buckwheat" mode. This mode does an excellent job of cooking pearl barley, millet, loose rice... This mode provides for the evaporation of liquids and after evaporation, your multicooker will automatically switch to heating mode. More complex side dishes can be cooked in this mode.

The presence of the "pilaf" mode in the multicooker allows you to get, in addition to the pilaf itself, excellent meat, roast or pasta with homemade minced meat - "navy style".

The multicooker is a great helper when cooking porridge. With her, you do not have to be afraid that the porridge will "run away" or burn, it saves time and effort. Corn porridge is cooked both in water and in milk. I propose to cook delicious and healthy corn porridge with pumpkin in a slow cooker in milk and water. Corn grits, like pumpkin, contain many nutrients. At the same time, corn porridge has an unusual, unique taste, and pumpkin perfectly complements it.

I prepare products according to the list.

My pumpkin, I cut off the peel from it, remove the seeds with fibers, cut into small cubes.

Put pumpkin cubes into the multicooker bowl, add water. I put the bowl in a slow cooker, close the lid and turn on the "Stew" program for 30 minutes.

I wash the corn grits in several waters until the water becomes clear.

At the end of the "Quenching" program, I open the lid of the multicooker.

I add cereal, milk, salt and sugar to the bowl.

I close the lid of the multicooker and turn on the "Porridge" program for 35 minutes.

I add butter.

I stir the porridge and leave it on heating at closed lid for 10 minutes.

Prepare the required ingredients.

Pour corn grits and sugar into the multicooker bowl, pour in half a portion of milk, close the lid and turn on the multicooker to the "Porridge" function.

If the groats are finely ground, cook for 10 minutes, if coarsely ground, then 20 minutes.

Cut the pumpkin, peeled and seeds, into small cubes (you can grate on a coarse grater). I use butternut pumpkin, the seeds are in the thick part, and the pumpkin itself is very sweet, with a delicate texture, it is easy to cut.

After the time has passed, pour the pumpkin into the multicooker bowl into the corn porridge.

Pour in the remaining milk, stir, close the lid of the multicooker and continue cooking for another 15 minutes (if the grits are finely ground) or 25 minutes (if the grits are coarsely ground). During cooking, you do not need to open the lid or stir the porridge.

You can also put the porridge in a molding ring and serve it cooled down, after decorating it with a sprig of greens.

Bon Appetit!
