Fat: 51 grams
Fibrous meat, almost no veins. The only can that had to be opened with a knife. But the experts gave only 1.75 points for the appearance, and rated the taste at 2 points.

But at the same time, its quality and price have changed. A standard can of stew of 340 grams (I mean only GOST 5284-84, the highest grade) now costs from 50 to 200 rubles. The difference is significant. GOST has ceased to be a guarantor of quality these days. As a result, sales of canned meat per capita continue to decline. People, having tasted low-quality canned food once, do not want to burn again.
I offer a small overview of the types of beef stew that is sold in our region.
My initial knowledge about this product, at the initial level and when selecting canned food, I was guided by the following:
a. Shop markup.
- I take with a minimum margin in chain supermarkets or wholesale markets.
b. In addition to the store's mark-up, the price of a stew depends on the percentage of meat at the start. In Russia, according to GOST, meat is 57.5%, and in Belarusians, according to GOST, meat is 97.5%. Ingredients: beef, fat, onion, salt, black pepper, bay leaf.
- I try to match.
v. Necessarily an iron can, standard, about 340 grams. Only the highest grade.
- I try to match.
d. No product from Glavprodukt, no matter what is written on the can of this manufacturer.
- My personal opinion: I have never bought anything worthwhile from this manufacturer, including canned vegetables and fish.

Content fell out alone big chunk... Incomprehensible substance. There are no meat fibers at all. The smell is incomprehensible. I didn't eat.

On the can there is a tempting inscription: "EXTRA 100% MEAT. Made from selected premium meat". After I opened the can, it became clear that the manufacturer, in this case, meant that all the premium meat was taken away, and stew was cooked from the leftovers. There is a lot of so-called broth in the stew, and there is very little meat and fat too. Smell stew is present.

The can of this manufacturer also contains an interesting inscription: does not contain GMOs. There was no meat at all in this jar. The fibers of the meat are present, but they seem to be all mixed with fat. The taste is pleasant. The smell of stew is there. The price matches the quality.

Just meat and that's it. They do not have any discrepancies! If GOST is written the highest grade, then this is it! It contains only meat and spices. Leader in quality and price.
But for this money you can buy almost two cans of Orsk stew :)

When choosing a stew, it is worth remembering that high-quality canned food will not be cheaper than its ingredients. That is, a good stew cannot be too cheap.
When buying, you should also pay attention to the manufacturer. These should be large meat-packing plants (from among the former state-owned), as a rule, they are preferable to small companies such as LLC "Processed Cows". While their product does not always match what they want, they at least have a more stable can content and more often match what is written on the label.
The label also matters a lot. Printing on tin is a rather complex technology, available, as a rule, only in old state-owned meat processing plants. This to some extent guarantees against obvious forgery and forgery, which can be practiced by small fly-by-night firms. Well, if the label is paper, it should be rolled with glue along its entire length.
The place of manufacture is also an important factor. For factories located in peripheral regions of Russia with developed animal husbandry (Orenburg region, Buryatia), it is often cheaper to put real meat in jars than to arrange a petty scam with soybeans. The same applies to factories in some CIS countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan).

Attention! The rating is no longer updated. Everything that we think about such a product as stew can be calculated.

Stew - ideal component a civilian emergency suitcase or an emergency supply. And there are several reasons for this:

  1. Stew good quality can be stored for a very long time. The average manufacturer indicates a shelf life of up to 3-4 years. However, buying canned food with the coveted "GOST" numbers 5284-84, you can easily stumble upon a volume not specified in the GOST " beef category I"in 87%, and for a volume of 100% of very unsightly components like veins, fat or soy.

Just like in Orskaya, there is a liquid brine, but the taste is better, there are no foreign tastes.
