"Bayu-byushki, Luna" - a book for the night. White tea bai lun zhu dao bai lun white dragon

According to Chinese tea legends, this White tea, whose name translates as “ White Dragon Pearl", Has almost five thousand years of history. Emperor Shen Nong himself, the legendary discoverer, allegedly loved to drink it. tea who is revered as tea deity.

There is also a legend as to why this tea received such a name. Once upon a time, a dragon lived in a village in Henan province. He did not offend people, on the contrary, because the peasants fed him, he protected their peace. It was once a very dry season and the whole harvest tea could have died. Then the dragon flew into the sky and covered the bushes with its wings tea from the sun. H hey from this harvest they treated the emperor. He liked it so much that for every cup of it tea gave the peasants a white pearl. Since then, in memory of the emperor and the dragon, this tea and rolled into balls resembling pearls.

According to other legends, for a long time this tea used as a medicinal drink. They also write that Buddhist monks drank it to prolong the state of concentration during. I am ready to doubt this, because according to my feelings this tea does not invigorate, but soothes.

Like any other quality White teaBai Long Zhu made only from young buds with one or two leaves (the source material is the Fuding Dahao tea bush). The difficulty of making this tea the fact that all operations from collection and hand twisting to drying must be done very, very carefully, so as not to damage the leaves and not kill the natural fermentation. The drying process, by the way, is the only opportunity for producers to somehow influence the taste of this tea.

And his taste is just wonderful. Even those who are not very receptive tea Silver needles, considering that it tastes like compote, will be able to appreciate the taste White Dragon Pearl... It is more pronounced, tender, with a very pleasant sweet aftertaste. The aroma of this is also beautiful tea.

It's believed that Bai Long Zhu can be brewed up to 7 times. Thai replica White Dragon Pearl I brewed five times without losing the taste.

Bai Long Zhu has many useful properties: from cleansing to immunostimulating. The list of its therapeutic effects is so long that it is simply impossible to figure out where the information is true and where the inventions of marketers are. One thing is for sure - this tea useful. Very helpful.

It should be brewed with water heated to 75-80 degrees. Do not overstay. For the first brew, 40-60 seconds are enough. For the next - a little more. Whole brewed tea- to drain - do not leave the tea leaf in the water.

Enjoy your tea!

P.S. Excellent white tea from the village of Me Au can now be purchased directly from me in Ukraine.

Bayou Baiushki Luna is a classic American bedtime reading book written in 1947 by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Heard. Gradually, the book became a bestseller and was translated into more than 10 languages. Now "Bayu-Bayushki, Luna" is published all over the world. But in Russia, this classic "lullaby" book gives rise to the most controversial reviews.

The plot is very simple: the bunny baby says good night to everything that he sees in the room: a balloon, kittens, porridge, grandmother, the moon ... As there is no such plot in the book, it is more likely not a story, but a falling asleep ritual. And in the Russian translation, made by the most talented Marina Boroditskaya, the wishes of good night are replaced by the familiar from childhood, the numbing and soporific interjection “bayu-baiu”.

Goodnight moon

In the great green room
There was a telephone
And a red balloon
And a picture of-
The cow jumping over the moon
And there were three little bears sitting on chairs
And two little kittens
And a pair of mittens
And a little toy house
And a young mouse
And a comb and a brush and a bowl full of mush
And a quiet old lady who was whispering “hush”

Goodnight room
Goodnight moon
Goodnight cow jumping over the moon
Goodnight light
And the red balloon
Goodnight bears
Goodnight chairs
Goodnight kittens
And goodnight mittens
Goodnight clocks
And goodnight socks
Goodnight little house
And goodnight mouse
Goodnight comb
And goodnight brush
Goodnight nobody
Goodnight mush
And goodnight to the old lady whispering "hush"
Goodnight stars
Goodnight air
Good night noises everywhere

Bayu-bayushki, Moon
(Translated by Marina Boroditskaya)

In that green room
In a warm, sleepy room
There was a balloon -
Volatile, new -
And two pictures: one with a cow,
Another with cubs - sleepy, hairy,
Two small kittens
Woolen mittens,
And the doll house
And a mouse with a tail
And porridge in a bowl: milk rice,
And the grandmother in the chair: she said "Shh ..."
Bayu-byu, room,

The whole big room!
Bayu-bye, the moon in the window
And a cow on the wall
Bayu-byu, ball -
Flying flashlight,
Bayu-bye, cubs -
It's time for you to crib.
Bayu-bye, kittens are mischievous,
And woolen mittens,
And socks and watches,
Both tails and noses.
Bayu, toy house,
Bayu, little mouse,
And fire and water,
And a blank page
And milk rice
And grandma's "Ts-s ..."
Bayu-baiushki, stars,
And the air is night
And the whole world, wrapped in t-shi-noi!

So why, upon first acquaintance, this book causes bewilderment and even repels Russian parents?

The first thing that catches your eye is the contrasting bright illustrations. Agree, red and green is not the combination of colors that you expect to see in a book with a lullaby verse.

Color pages alternate with black and white and even one blank page. The illustrations are monotonous. All spreads show the same room and its details. Nothing more.

There is little text, and it is very simple: in fact, it is a rhymed enumeration of everything that is in the room.

Here are the main reasons why "Bayu-Bayushki, Luna" is receiving negative reviews. But why, upon closer acquaintance, do most parents change their negative first impression for an enthusiastic one?

From page to page, the room darkens, a fire flares up in the fireplace and goes out again, and the moon rises higher and higher in the window.

The hands of the clock are running, the bunny in the bed gradually calms down, a lot of time passes, but now he is already asleep ...

Both the text and the illustrations magically affect the kids: they fascinate, lull, lull.

But "Bayu-bayushki, Luna" does not have to be read only as a lullaby. This book is also a great mindfulness game. Invite the baby to find a white mouse on all the color spreads, or count how many pictures the artist actually depicted, find out what the little bunny reads before going to bed and how long it took him to fall asleep.

Bayu-bye, the moon in the window

And a cow on the wall

Bayu-bayu, ball -

Flying flashlight,

Bayu-bye, cubs -

It's time for you to crib.

Bayu-baiushki, stars,

And the air is night

And the whole world, wrapped in t-shi-noi!

"Bayu-bye, the moon in the window and the cow on the wall ..." - Magnus smiles broadly and hands them a counting number to choose who will catch up.

Everyone freezes in anticipation.

"Wrapped up with ti-shi-noi!" - the finger points to Ian. Magnus, Alec and Mickey scatter in different directions and mentally roll with laughter.

Everything on the playground is as usual - the silence is broken only by the sound of shoes running on the dead grass.

Alec runs out into the clearing and tries to calm his fast beating heart. At least now, at this moment, wait. Do not rip the ribcage and do not jump out of it.

For this, the time will come soon.

Every muscle in the body resonates with a pulling pain. The legs have not been felt for a very long time, since the moment the track of time is lost. He trembles with fast running, fear and ... anticipation? Yes. Stupid and inappropriate, but not wanting to go anywhere anticipation.

A thin branch crunches and breaks into two halves under the boot. One awkward movement breaks the silence of the forest.

One awkward word ruins life.

What a fucking hopelessness.

In the center of the clearing, a rickety house with a leaky roof freezes with a broken toy. When it rains, water seeps into the living room in thin, cold streams. The first time, the drops hit Alec right on the top of his head, and then he brings a small pewter cup from the house so that it drips there and not past.

The hand involuntarily twitches to the forehead in order to erase non-existent drops along with too vivid memories.

The quiet creak with which the door opens is almost lost behind the pounding of the heart in the ears.

- What have you forgotten here, Alexander? Magnus folds his arms across his chest and looks Alec from head to toe with indifference perfected. Not a muscle twitches in his face.

But that can't be said about Alec. He ran so fast that he almost got rid of the truth tearing through his ribcage. But now everything is back.

He raises his head, takes a step forward and says hoarsely:

“They know where you are.

Indifference, perfected, cracks and shatters into a million pieces.

Thirteen.

“You can turn off” - the mechanical, expressionless voice of the Professor bursts directly into the flow of information entering the subconscious.

Alec opens his eyes, takes off his glasses, headphones, and unhooks a few lotions from his hand, which are connected to the computer in the center of the classroom. Today they ran through the era of antiquity - the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - studied literature and art. Alec stands up sharper than necessary and immediately grabs the back of the chair with his hand: after Connecting, his head is always a little dizzy.

This is the last lesson, so he looks up to Magnus and smiles, sending a mental message: "Are we going?"

In the corners of his slanting eyes, wrinkles from a wide answering smile gather, and Alec's head sounds funny: "Let's go."

The white school corridor greets them with disinfected air, cleanliness and silence. Pupils silently disperse to their homes, silently leave their offices, silently discuss something. Surely what they learned at school today, there weren't many other topics of conversation.

But “silent” is not strange. "Silently" is right and the way it should be.

Once upon a time, the whole world plunged into War. Before her, there were civil wars, world wars, but this one turned out to be so terrible that it was simply called the War. Over the decades, many have died, more than half of the planet has turned into a desert scorched by hatred and tons of weapons, and so that this will never happen again, the Earth began to live according to new rules.

Obey the Elders, do not do anything without their knowledge, do not think about yourself, build a family with the one you have chosen for you, avoid bodily contacts, except for the most necessary ones. Don't touch another person's skin or thoughts. And forget about love. Give birth and raise your offspring as obedient and transparently truthful.

Do everything for the good of the planet.

And most importantly, keep quiet. Someone once said: “Words only interfere with understanding each other,” and he was right. It's much easier without words. Children, unable to cry, thanks to special clamps, learn to endure their failures. There are no conspiracies and gossip. There are no inappropriate statements and casual phrases that can hurt you.

There is no reason to fight.

Now communication is much easier: you just have to think, and with the help of the program implanted at the base of the brain at birth, what you wanted to say is duplicated in the interlocutor's head. And also on the World Computer in front of one of the Elders, who listens to all the conversations on the planet and makes sure that unwanted ones do not appear.

In an old history textbook, which is very rare and under big secret the school janitor gets out of his bosom, this is called "total control", but Alec does not understand these words well. He is much closer to the definition given at school - "Blessing of the Elders."

Magnus darts from his place, in two steps is next to him and hits him in the chest with his palms. Alec almost collapses in surprise. Baine had just stood in the doorway and hardly breathed, his gaze darted across the chilled evening earth, while awareness slowly seeped through the pores on the skin inside, absorbed into the blood, which dispersed him throughout his body. Alec did not move, he was even afraid to raise his hand: it is not clear what could have done worse.

And the next moment Magnus is already putting into the blow all the strength he can.

- Then what have you forgotten here?

Another blow, even stronger than the previous one. But Alec twitches not from him, but from wild emotions cutting into his body with hundreds of needles.

- You should be in the city, next to your father. He will protect you.

Another blow.

Alec is paralyzed. Never in his life had he encountered such bare and strained feelings. Like the wires of the Main City Computer, followed by a dozen people, because if they are pulled, they will burst and leave the Elders without access to conversations.

Fifteen.

"Leave me alone!"

"Leave me alone!"

"The professor told us to prepare for the lesson together, so we must ..."

"We don't owe anything."

"Hey, do you understand that Alec and I also receive your messages?"

Ian and Mickey snort, sniff resentfully and turn away in different directions, showing with all their appearance that they not only do a joint project, but they do not intend to talk to each other either.

"Can you explain what happened to you?" - Alec is really interested in why their friends have been looking askance at each other for several days and do not even want to appear nearby, but, apparently, this will remain a secret, because Ian waves his hand and turns on his heels to leave. Mickey spits on the smooth, warm, stone-free asphalt, and walks the other way.

"He can't get away with it."

"They both won't do it." Alec adjusts his bangs. The last time Mickey and Ian had a fight, they were summoned to the Elders: quarrels in their world are no more loved than talking out loud.

They stare after the departing friends for a couple of minutes, and then exchange glances. And there is more information in these views than in any of the messages: they have already perfectly mastered the art of reading each other's eyes long ago.

Magnus squints a little, just a little, and tilts his head slightly to the right.

Alec tugs the corners of his lips upward and nods almost imperceptibly.

They straighten their bags on their shoulders in exactly the same way and disperse to meet again in half an hour.

Their city, which is registered under the twenty-eighth number, is no different from other similar cities scattered across the entire surviving surface of the planet. In the territories that were once burned by the War, work on restoration is not even going on, because the population of the Earth has decreased several dozen times, and there is enough space for them. In total, there are sixty-three Cities and one Capital, the center of the planet, the city of the Elders.

It is known that the dragon has been considered the symbol of China from time immemorial. He is deified, glorified and deeply respected, because for the Chinese, he is not only the personification of magic, strength and power, but also a symbol of protection, honor and nobility. Praising the dragon, the Chinese named only the most worthy objects, structures and, of course, their cult drink, tea, after him.

For more than 5,000 years, the Chinese have been cultivating tea plantations with unique, rare and ancient varieties that are suitable for their favorite type of tea - white tea, truly an imperial drink that prolongs life and rejuvenates the body. The value of white tea is enormous, therefore varietal bushes intended for health drink, carefully guarded from the scorching sun, from the drying wind and hail. Previously, white tea Bai Long Zhu was simply used as a magical restorative elixir intended only for the nobility and the emperor's family, but later, having appreciated the taste of the drink, it began to be used more widely. However, Bai Long Zhu is not just a rare, but also an elite high-quality tea, which, of course, very wealthy people can afford. Bai Long Zhu promotes the renewal of cells in the body, and its unearthly taste and aroma envelops in a haze, accelerating the transition of the mental - astral body into the labyrinths of consciousness, therefore it is very much loved by Buddhist monks.

History of creation

There is a legend about the creation of the name of this wonderful drink. In the Chinese province, next to the tea plantations where farmers worked, there lived a dragon. The Chinese loved and respected him very much, because he protected them. They brought him seafood, and he protected the Chinese from the enemy, and rare tea bushes from thieves. The dragon was very large and practically did not rise into the sky, but the enemy was still afraid of him and did not risk coming close to the imperial tea bushes. So it was always, until, one day, an incinerating heat reigned over the mountain plantations, which ruined not only a valuable crop, but also people, drying up reservoirs and soil. People prayed to the heavens, with a prayer, to grant them the long-awaited moisture, and the dragon, watching the calamity of the Chinese people, decided to help them. Suddenly the skies darkened, lightning flashed, the wind rose, the long-awaited coolness came. People looked at the sky and saw that their protector - a dragon, with its huge wings, was catching up with clouds, from which, at last, the long-awaited rain poured in a stream. The dragon stayed in the sky for so long that all vital reservoirs were filled with water, and the earth absorbed the necessary moisture. Exhausted by the long stay in the air, the dragon sank to the ground, and the sky was lit up with a bright sun, painting the heavenly blue into multi-colored rainbow stripes. Grateful tea farmers named the tea produced by the bushes saved by the dragon in honor of their savior "White Dragon Pearl". Pearls, in the name, are associated with the unselfish nobility and self-sacrifice of the dragon, who preserved rare tea bushes, from the leaves of which fragrant white tea turned out, and also with the fact that the emperor himself presented large white pearls to the Chinese peasants for keeping it healing drink... And that is why manufacturers began to twist tea leaves tightly into small peas, so similar to pearls. This is the legend about the origin of the name Bai Long Zhu "White Dragon Pearl", a charming and unique white tea.

Prior to my first encounter with Oolong (how it happened), I was a fan of green and white tea. True, in those distant times I knew only one kind of white tea - Silver Needles. Or, rather, the tea that we sold under the guise of Silver Needles 🙂

Oolongs have long discouraged me from drinking any other tea. Yes, and now he does not really exist, except as an experiment. But white tea has always been interesting to me. In Me Salong, I took the same Silver needles from my Chinese partner. Different quality and price. The tea was pleasant, but not enough to be drunk often along with oolongs.

Nevertheless, the search continued.

Somewhat unexpectedly for me, the white tea I really liked was found in the village of Me Au.

Earlier, under white tea in Mae Au they sold a low-fermented oolong Jasmine pearl. Yes, and now they sell it as white tea. At one time I bought it myself and delivered it to Ukraine as white tea. Then I figured it out.

Tea shop.

After that I come to Mae Au to see my planters. I ask: " White tea there is?"

· Yes of course. - they answer. And they bring the Jasmine pearl.

・ It's not white, it's oolong. Plus, with jasmine.

・ Yes, oolong. Yes, with jasmine. But, it tastes like white.

・ Similar. I do not argue. But I want pure white, no jasmine. (The same, but with mother-of-pearl buttons). Is there such?

· There is no such.

I don’t know if I advised them or there were many like me, but not so long ago I was proudly shown white tea without any jasmine. I tried it once, tried it twice and realized that I liked this tea. Now I drink it almost every day and I am very pleased with this fact.

Tasting process.

My knowledge of white teas is very modest, but about this I will assume that this is a Thai replica of the famous Chinese tea Bai Long Zhu (White Dragon Pearl). How much it is comparable to the original is difficult to say. I really like it, but this is, of course, subjective.

What makes it similar to its Chinese "colleagues" is the high price tag. For the money that I pay for a kilogram of Thai Bai Long Zhu, you can take two kilograms of high quality oolong. Nevertheless, in my opinion, this white tea is worth the money. Yes, and its price is lower than the price of Chinese counterparts and, moreover, the price of Silver needles.
