Soup with meatballs in a slow cooker: video recipe

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with an alternative recipe for making rich soup with meatballs in a slow cooker.

You can learn more about the necessary ingredients and the method of preparation by watching the video below:

I propose to cook for lunch, with me, a delicious and healthy soup with meatballs, for children and adults. We will cook it in a convenient saucepan, slow cooker. My model is Polaris 0517 ad, but the recipe is suitable for many where there is a "soup" mode (Redmond, Panasonic, Phillips, etc.) The process is simple, and the result will please the whole family.

The meat in the soup is not fatty, roasting is not used, all the vegetables added are suitable for feeding young children, so this soup can be offered even to a child of 1 year old, only you will first need to puree it with a blender. And children from 1.5 - 2 years old can already be offered soup with whole pieces.

Products:

  • Minced veal - 300 g
  • Potato - 4 pcs.
  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Onion - 2 pcs. (one for minced meat, the second for soup)
  • Rice - 0.5 tbsp.
  • String beans - a handful
  • Spinach - 2 slices frozen (or a bunch of fresh)
  • Bay leaf - 1 pc.
  • Salt - 1 tbsp. without top.

Products are designed for 1.5 - 1.7 liters of water

Soup with meatballs in a slow cooker for children and parents:

1. Prepare minced meat for soup. To do this, twist it in a meat grinder with a fine grate.

2. We also twist one onion in a meat grinder.

3. Drive in one egg to the minced meat with onions and salt to taste. Mixing minced meat for meatballs.

4. Since the soup will be eaten not only by adults, but also by children, we will make the meatballs small (like a small walnut).

5. Meatballs for soup are ready. Now peel the onions, potatoes and carrots. Let's wash the rice. Prepare frozen or fresh green beans and some spinach. Bay leaf, salt and black pepper.

6. Finely chop the potatoes in arbitrary pieces. We grate the main part of the carrots, and leave a few rings whole to form funny carrot flowers out of them. Then, put these flowers in a children's bowl of soup.

7. Put in a clean multicooker bowl: potatoes, carrots, a whole onion, bay leaf and salt.

8. Pour 1.7 liters of water into the slow cooker. Hot from a kettle is best.

9. We install a special grill on top, on which we tightly lay small meatballs.

10. In the slow cooker, set the "soup" mode. Time - 1 hour.

11. Without waiting for the end of the program, in 15 minutes. (you can also after the end), remove the steam grate and add green beans, spinach and ready-made meatballs to the soup. In 15 minutes, the added vegetables will be cooked.

12. Soup with meatballs in a slow cooker for a child is ready. Add carrot flowers to a children's bowl of soup.

13. For a child of 1 year old, grind the soup into a puree.

In addition to soup, you can steam and.

Bon appetit!

On a note:

If you pour boiling water into the slow cooker, then the meatballs can be cooked in a saucepan with vegetables (and not steamed), but in this case there will be more meat foam from the meatballs in the broth. And there is also a chance that they will fall apart.

When they are cooked on the wire rack, the main foam and "meat flakes" remain on the wire rack.

Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and turn on the "frying" mode. While the oil is heating, peel and finely chop a medium-sized onion. Add the onion to the bowl and cook, stirring, until translucent.

Peel and grate one carrot on a coarse grater. Add to the onion and continue to cook for a few more minutes - depending on the intensity of the program.

Peel and cut potatoes into small cubes. Add to vegetables and cook for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally.

In many slow cookers, the vegetables will be ready by the end of the frying program. If there is no such program, you can use the "baking" mode, but it will take a little more time.

While the vegetables are cooking, heat the water. Multicooker bowls do not like temperature changes, so it is best to add hot liquid to hot vegetables. It is easier and faster to heat water with an electric kettle, but if this is not possible, then you can pour water at room temperature in a thin stream so that the temperature difference is not too sharp. You will need about 2-2.5 liters of liquid, depending on the number of vegetables.

Salt and season to taste. You can use a ready-made soup seasoning mix or whatever spices you like. Turn on the "soup" or "cooking" mode (on average, the time of these programs is about 30 minutes).

Meatballs can be made with any meat you prefer. We have chicken meatball soup. There is no need to add anything extra to the stuffing. It is enough to grind the meat, salt and season to taste.

With wet hands, form walnut-sized balls. If there are children in the family, then the meatballs can be made smaller so that the child is comfortable. I often make meatball soup, so I always have a supply of ready-made meatballs in the freezer. I lay them out on plastic pallets, and then, already, pour them into a bag.

When the soup boils, add meatballs to it. It is not necessary to defrost small meatballs, but large ones should be allowed to lie down at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

You can use any vermicelli, even cobwebs, which are prepared in just a few minutes. But at the same time, it is always important to read on the package how long the vermicelli should be cooked. If it is 7 minutes, then exactly 6-7 minutes before the end of the program you need to add vermicelli to the soup and mix so that it does not stick together.

My family loves rich thick soups, so after the end of the program and the signal, I do not open the lid, but let the soup stand for another 10 minutes with the multicooker turned off. When warm, the soup continues to cook, so it becomes thicker. But it should be noted that in this case the broth will no longer be transparent.

Soup with vermicelli is best eaten 1 day in advance, as it thickens a lot in the refrigerator, and the vermicelli swells.

Before serving, sprinkle the soup with meatballs and noodles in a slow cooker with herbs, such as chopped parsley or green onions.
