The secret is in the mustard-honey sauce, which permeates the wings. As a result, they acquire a pleasant sweet and sour aftertaste with a light spicy aroma, and when cooked they become brown-golden and, as it were, carmelize on top.

  • Chicken wings - 0.5 kg (5-6 pcs.);
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon without top;
  • French mustard - 1 tablespoon;
  • Tomato paste or ketchup - 1 tablespoon;
  • Chicken spice mixture - to taste;
  • A little black pepper and salt;
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) - 1-2 tablespoons.

Chicken wings in honey sauce are prepared both from edged wings and from non-edged ones (I had the last ones). Wash them well, dry them and cut them into two parts along the joint (you can not cut them, but marinate them whole). In principle, the wings are ready.

Now we make mustard-honey marinade. To do this, take honey, if it is slightly thickened, melt it in the microwave or in a water bath.

Put tomato paste or ketchup, spices, salt and pepper in the honey base. Mix everything well.

Chicken wings in honey and soy sauce is the best recipe for crispy BBQ chicken wings. The wings are one of the most delicious parts of chicken. They can be a great broth base, a great beer snack, or just a quick, delicious dinner. I recently discovered that they turned out to be a very tasty dish, which I will tell you about today.

Ingredients

  • chicken - wings - 10 pieces
  • honey- 2 tbsp
  • soy sauce - 8 tbsp (140 ml)
  • mustard- 2 tsp
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • lemon- 0.5 pcs

Cooking method

You need to start preparing honey wings in advance, because for a long time they will simply be marinated in honey-soy sauce. Let's start cooking with it. Take a small bowl, pour soy sauce into it, add honey, mustard, squeeze garlic and lemon. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved in the liquid. Since mustard is also included in the sauce, we can say that we are preparing both honey-mustard sauce and chicken wings in honey-mustard sauce. Chicken in honey mustard sauce is incredibly tasty! Now wash the wings, wipe them with paper towels, pour in the sauce, mix thoroughly so that the liquid completely covers the chicken wings. Leave them to marinate for 1 hour or more. The bigger, the better. I had them in the refrigerator for almost a day. As the time comes, we take the chicken out of the refrigerator, put a frying pan on the strongest fire, pour a little vegetable oil into it, wait until it warms up. While we wait, turn on the oven at 240 degrees. Put all the wings in the pan and pour the remaining marinade sauce into it. We do not reduce the fire, evaporate the sauce, and mix the wings about once every 1 minute, until they turn brown on each side. It will take approximately 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, transfer the wings from the pan to the prepared baking sheet. You can cover it with parchment paper or foil with the reflective side down to make it less dirty. We put the baking sheet with wings in the oven at 240 degrees for 20 minutes. We continue to evaporate the honey-soy sauce until the state of caramel stringiness and rich brown color. It will boil 🙂 When the honey-mustard sauce reaches the desired consistency, take the wings out of the oven. 20 minutes have not passed yet, so remember how long they have already stood there, then they will bake for their allotted time. Pour the wings on top with honey-soy sauce; for convenience, you can use a silicone brush. We put in the oven and bake for the prescribed time. When it passes, so that the crust becomes crispy and ruddy, turn on the grill for 5-10 minutes, be sure to make sure that the wings are not burnt. If your oven does not have a grill function, then just turn it on to the highest temperature and do the same. We take out the wings from the oven. Transfer to a plate and serve.
